Many years ago, I turned a too large jersey knit sweater into a blazer. I used my basic Victorian bodice pattern as pattern. I love this pretty blue and white knitted flounced bag! But I don’t like to knit. 😉 So I thought I’d use some fabric scraps and sew a nautical ruffle bag! I used white cotton canvas and white aida cloth. Here you’ll find the tutorial for a cute ruffled tote bag. My bag is a small bag, so it has just two ruffles. And instead of zigzagging the edges, I crocheted around the edges of the ruffles with blue cotton yarn. The bag is closed with a wood button and yarn button loop.
