These beautiful Tiffany blue macarons are naturally colored with homemade blue food coloring! I love the color of the blue macarons! Isn’t it gorgeous?
But the all-natural blue macarons don’t just look delicious – they are! They’re flavored with peppermint essential oil.
Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 100g sugar
- homemade natural blue food coloring
- 1 or 2 drops peppermint essential oil
Preheat the oven to 180°F/ 80°C. Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff. Color the batter with some drops natural blue food coloring. Then stir in the peppermint essential oil.
Using two teaspoons, drop the blue batter onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Blue macarons with natural red cabbage food coloring are more blue on the inside.
If you want you can make blue macaron filling. I used the blue macaron batter as filling. But you can also make natural blue buttercream frosting.
Just add some berries for a colorful and delicious summer dessert. Yum! 😀
Here you’ll find my recipe for natural blue cake and natural speckled blue robin egg truffles.
We call these Meringue cookies in my area. The blue is very pretty.
