I refashioned a black sweater into a 1920s-style sweater. This beautiful 1920s sweater with the polka dot scarf was my inspiration.
I cut off the collar of the sweater to make a scoop neck. The scarf is made with off-white pure silk fabric from my stash. The edges of the scarf are finished with a rolled hem.
I used green fabric paint and a pencil eraser to print the polka dots. I really like how the 1920s-style sweater turned out! The sweater is now much more comfortable to wear without the choking turtleneck. And with the polka dot scarf, the black sweater isn’t so plain and dark anymore.
I tried out a new hairstyle for the photos – not a 1920s hairstyle this time. It’s inspired by this pin but my hair is too long, so I made two messy buns instead of the two braids.
