I made a shabby chic picture frame with a heart shaped river rock.
Years ago I found the heart shaped rock in a river. I thought a distressed wood picture frame resembling driftwood would make a nice display for the stone heart.
So I grabbed a piece of scrap wood, distressed the wood and stained it with steel wool and vinegar.
Then I cut the wood into four pieces with a handsaw.
And nailed the pieces together.
Then I squashed the heart shaped river rock into the picture frame.

This is so clever, it seems like you have made a lovely thing out of practically nothing.
Thank you. I’m really pleased with how the picture frame turned out.
