Materials For My DIY Crochet Lace Corset Top
I used shiny, white, mercerized cotton crochet thread from my stash and a 1.25mm crochet hook. And by the way, it was surprisingly quick to crochet my DIY crochet corset top from scratch! Way more difficult was to add corset boning to the lacy crochet fabric so that it doesn’t distract from the filet crochet lace pattern! 😉
Materials for my DIY Crochet Corset Top:
- white mercerized cotton crochet thread
- 1.25mm crochet hook
- reinforced plastic corset boning
- white cotton twill tape
- zipper
- 5mm metal grommets
- metal D-rings
- white ribbon
Differences Between My & Dion Lee Crochet Corset Tops
My DIY Crochet Corset Top:
- also has filet crochet on the back – not just a piece of fabric
- is more shaped to the figure
- the top and bottom of my DIY crochet corset top is finished with three rows of single crochet stitches – not just knit bias binding
- has reinforced plastic corset boning hidden inside cotton twill tape boning channels
- has a front zipper closure
- has DIY crochet lacing on the back
