In this tutorial I’ll show you how to recreate this 1882 curly updo. The hairstyle seems to be made with artificial hairpieces, but in this tutorial I’ve just used my own hair.

Part your hair from ear to ear, and pin the strand of hair into a small bun.

Comb the rest of your hair upwards over the bun and secure it with a hair comb or hairpins. Curl the hair with a curling iron. And pin the curls in place with bobby pins.

The hairstyle is fast to make and comfortable to wear. And even though it’s an 1880s updo, it can also be worn today.
