Jeans To Skirt Refashion

Jeans To Skirt Refashion

Mint green is my favorite color, so I jumped with joy when a mint green jeans was given to me! 😀 The jeans was old, faded and soft from washing. But I liked the mint green denim fabric and the natural used look. The jeans had an unflattering carrot cut with pleats at the waist. So I thought I’d turn the jeans into an A-line skirt.

I cut off the waistband because I prefer skirts with a low waist. Then I frayed the edges with a needle. I love the look of frayed edges (on purpose) even though frayed edges take longer than an ordinary hem!

I cut off the legs below the knee and used the cut-off jeans leg to fill in the gap. Then I used the leftover scraps to make matching DIY espadrilles! 😀 There was just enough fabric left so that I could piece the scraps together for the shoes!
