Some years ago, I turned a modern cotton blouse into a Victorian-style blouse. Because it’s a modern blouse cut, it hasn’t the sloped shoulder seams – typical of Victorian bodices – but this isn’t seen if the blouse is worn with a zouave jacket.
I replaced the buttons with hooks and the sleeve buttons with pearl buttons. And I also changed the shape of the side seams.
Here I’m wearing the blouse as an Edwardian shirtwaist with the pleated brown skirt of my Edwardian bicycle costume.
What a pretty blouse!
Thank you, Sherry! 🙂
How can l get this pattern
Sorry, there’s no pattern for the blouse – I refashioned a store-bought blouse into this Victorian-style blouse.
