That’s the second corset I’ve sewn: an underbust corset made from one layer of blue jeans fabric.  It’s laced in the back with polyester satin ribbon. The eyelets are handsewn.

It’s boned just in the front with plastic boning which doesn’t give more support than cardboard. This plastic boning is not comparable to German plastic boning which is quite stiff. Here’s a corset that I’ve boned with German plastic boning.

I didn’t use a pattern for this corset: It’s just a rectangle of fabric with darts sewn after my measurements.
