Today I’ve finished this pink chiffon anarkali suit. It’s sheer and needs a slip under it.
For the border, I’ve used fabric scraps and sewed them together. I’ve used blue-white striped cotton sateen, silver sateen, and some blue lining fabric on the inside.
All the panels are joined with french seams, as the fabric is sheer and frays very badly. It’s one of the first pieces where I’ve used french seams. That was another reason I’ve used french seams: in order to practice sewing them. All is machine-sewn, except for the neckline which I’ve finished by hand.
