These naturally green dog treats are naturally colored with sunflower seeds!
Aren’t these green dog treats fun? They’re perfect for Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day! And what’s best they’re made without artificial food coloring: Sunflower seeds make these dog treats naturally green! Sunflower seeds contain chlorogenic acid which turns green in an alkaline environment (baking soda).
My puppy loves the naturally dog treats! She didn’t mind being a model for the photos and tasting the treats! 😉 If you make the naturally green dog treats for your dog I’d love if you’d send me a picture on instagram! And you can follow the adventures of my puppy on her instagram account @khaleesi_theblackgsd.

Thank you!
So cute! Unfortunately my dog is wheat intolerant so no good for us.
Then you could make him these delicious 2-ingredient banana oats dog treats – they are wheat-free – you could even add green sunflower seeds! 🙂
We have a 3 or 4 yr. old black/chocolate lab we gave him his forever home from a shelter. A policeman found him on the street. Our dog is very finicky/picky so I don’t think he’d like these. He also eats people food & won’t eat dog food so we mix people & dog food, but we’re weening him off the people food for sure!!! His previous owners must”ve given him people food all the time. 🙁
My puppy doesn’t always like her kibble too but she likes these treats! And I eat these too, so they are people food! 😉
So sweet and a perfect valentine’s treat for a pup! Or any holiday with any cut out! My Chance could have these while I eat chocolate!
Thanks for sharing with us at Fiesta Friday!
