These chocolate chip cookies are so delicious: soft and chewy and they’re naturally green! The chocolate chip cookies are naturally colored with sunflower seeds – sunflower seeds turn green with baking soda! Isn’t that amazing?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup homemade naturally green sunflower seeds
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp yogurt – I used soy yogurt
- 2 tsp homemade vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 180°C/ 350°F. Line two baking sheets with baking paper. Puree the naturally green sunflower seeds in a food processor until smooth. Mix all ingredients together. Roll tablespoon-sized spoonfuls of batter into balls. Use a fork to press a criss-cross pattern into them. Bake the naturally green cookies for about 10 minutes.
