Today I’ll show you how to make French beaded grape hyacinth flowers – it’s the third project of my Easter Countdown 2017.
You’ll need:
- large and small seed beads in blue
- small seed beads in green
- wire
- scissor or wire cutter
Thread 4 large beads, 6 small beads and 4 large beads. Thread the other end of the wire through the 3 small and 4 large beads.
Thread 3 small and 4 large beads, and thread the other end of the wire through the 7 beads from the opposite end.
Continue till you have 5 rows of beads. Thread one end of the wire through the first bead row and pull it tight.
Twist the wires to secure and cut off one of the wires.
To make the stem, thread green seed beads onto the wire, and thread the wire back through the stem – skipping the first bead.
Wrap the wire around the stem to secure. Then cut off the excess wire.
And your French beaded grape hyacinth is finished!
If you liked the tutorial, I’d love if you’d share it on Pinterest, Facebook etc.
COOL!
…and I have sooo many beads hanging about…
😀
Thank you 😀
This is exquisite, so pretty. I imagine ladies making and wearing these back in the olden days (that useful non specific past time period !) Is that a brooch you’ve made with them or a little posy?
It’s a little posy. 🙂
This is so creative and turned out just lovely! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm!
Thanks 🙂
