A bunny-shaped pillow is so easy to sew and so cute! Make it for Easter, for your kids or as a gift. The DIY bunny pillow is as soft as a stuffed toy. 🙂
You’ll need:
- fabric
- polyester stuffing
- large pompom
- scissor
- needle and thread
- sewing machine
Print out one of my free bunny templates or choose another bunny template that you’ll like. Cut out two bunny shapes, and one long strip of fabric – as long as the outline of the bunny shape.
Sew together one of the bunny shapes and the long fabric strip with a straight stitch.
The bunny pillow is a great way to use up fabric scraps: the green striped fabric was a kitchen towel before, and the pink striped fabric is leftover from a summer skirt and my 1900s maid’s dress. Because the pink striped fabric is very thin, I used white cotton as lining.
Now sew the other bunny shape to the fabric strip. It’s not necessary to finish the raw edges.
Make small snips around the curves of the pillow.
Turn the bunny pillow inside out. Stuff the bunny pillow with poly-fil.
Sew the opening closed with a ladder stitch.
Tie the pompom to the bunny pillow.

What a cute pillow. It is adorable.
