Rich, creamy, decadent – this homemade banana pudding from scratch will leave you craving for more!
This banana pudding from scratch is made with real bananas. No artificial banana flavoring or banana liqueur needed! The banana pudding is egg-free and you can make it vegan if you use soy milk. I can’t eat dairy so I used soy milk but you can use real milk if you want – I bet it tastes just as good!
It’s true that banana pudding made with real bananas turns grayish after cooking but who cares when it’s such a delicious dessert! 😀
Banana Pudding From Scratch
Ingredients:
- 2 – 3 bananas (250g)
- 2 cups (soy) milk (500ml)
- 1/4 cup homemade vanilla sugar (50g)
- 5 tbsp cornstarch (45g)
Directions:
Puree the bananas together with soy milk and sugar with an immersion blender or in a food processor. Whisk in the cornstarch. While constantly stirring, bring the banana pudding to a boil and cook until thickened.
Top it with dairy-free whipped cream substitutes or soy yogurt and fresh banana slices.
