Bake and craft along with me to count down the days until Christmas! Visit my interactive Christmas countdown calendar every day in December to open a door and find a DIY Christmas ornament tutorial or Christmas recipe behind it!
Merry Christmas and welcome to my Advent calendar 2020! ? This year is the fourth year that I’m hosting an interactive craft-along Advent calendar on my blog.

What Is The Craft-Along Advent Calendar?
In short: The craft-along Advent calendar works like an ordinary Advent calendar, except that there’s no chocolate behind the doors! 😉 Instead there are Christmas craft tutorials and recipes.
Every day in December you can open a door and find out what’s waiting behind it for you! Behind the doors are tutorials for DIY Christmas ornaments, recipes for Christmas treats and tips on how to celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas.
All the DIY Christmas crafts are eco-friendly, budget-friendly, inspired by traditional Victorian Christmas tree decorations, and easy to make with your whole family!
When & Where Is The Craft-Along Advent Calendar 2020?
The Advent calendar 2020 runs from December 1 to December 24 here on my blog. You can simply bookmark this page and check back every day to open a new door. If you click on the door for the corresponding day, e.g. door 5 on day 5, it opens the new Christmas-related tutorial or post in a new tab.
What Do I Need To Join In?
The craft-along Advent calendar is free for everyone. You don’t need to do anything to join the fun! You also don’t need any special knowledge or materials. Most of the DIY Christmas crafts and recipes are easy to make with things you already have at home or can collect outdoors in nature.
Why Should I Join In?
With another coronavirus lockdown in many countries, we can still craft together virtually! So join the fun and count down the days until Christmas with me! 😀 Be sure to check back every day to open a new door. Let’s craft together this Christmas!
I’m Not Especially Crafty Or Good At Cooking, Can I Still Join In?
Yes, absolutely! Most of the DIY Christmas crafts and recipes are easy to make without any previous knowledge.
And if you have any questions about one of the tutorials or recipes, you can ask them in the comment section at the bottom of each page. I’ll try to answer your questions as soon as possible.
I Have Little Time, Should I Still Join In?
No pressure! There’s no deadline to complete the Christmas crafts. Just come back when you have time.
And of course you don’t have to make all the DIY Christmas ornaments and recipes, just pick the ones that interest you!
Share Your Christmas Creations!
If you craft and bake with me this Advent, I’d love to see your creations! You can share them on your instagram account and tag me @sewhistorically_costumes. Or you can share them on pinterest by uploading a photo. And if you have a blog, you can also share your Christmas ornaments & treats there: I’ll definitely have a look! 😀
