This mint green summer dress is my favorite 1920s dress that I made so far. I love this dress because it’s so comfortable to wear on a warm summer day – and mint green is my favorite color! 😉
The Fabric
For the 1920s dress I used sheer, mint green chiffon fabric. Unlike my other 1920s dress, this dress isn’t historically accurate because I used polyester chiffon.
Because the fabric is very sheer, I’m wearing a pure silk slip underneath the dress.
The Pattern
The dress is just a rectangle with four godets in the skirt part. The godets are at the sides, at the front and at the back.
Details
The neckline and armholes are finished with self-fabric bias binding. And the hem is finished with my 1920s imitation picot hem.

My Inspiration
My inspiration were the following three 1920s mint green chiffon dresses: silk chiffon dress with flowers, cotton dress with godets and silk chiffon dress with godets.
