DIY Wood Bead ‘Cranberry’ Wreath Ornament

DIY Wood Bead Cranberry Wreath Ornament

This DIY wood bead ‘cranberry’ ornament is easy and fun to make with kids. And because it can be made so quick, it’s a great last-minute DIY Christmas ornament: It takes just some minutes to string and paint the beads. Besides, this faux cranberry ornament with wood beads is not only pretty but also non-wilting, unlike a wreath ornament with real cranberries with wood beads.

This DIY wood bead ‘cranberry’ ornament was a stash-buster project because these wooden beads have been sitting in my stash for far too long. So it was high time to use them for something! 😀

Paint the wooden beads with red acrylic paint and let the wreath dry overnight.

  2. Very cute! I just picked up some red beads at a thrift shop. I was thinking of stringing them for Valentines Day, but could restring and make some of these next year. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

    1. Sorry for the late reply. I used 1/2 inch wood beads because I had them on hand. But you can also use larger or smaller wood beads for the DIY faux cranberry wreath ornaments.

      1. These are lovely and I will probably use some of my wood beads and make some! This might seem like an odd question but we never eat cranberries but I use them to decorate. Is there a reason I wouldn’t use cranberries? Like they rot too fast or they are hard to poke the wire through. Just curious.
I also like making new things each year so something disposable would be good.
        Thanks
