Today’s recipe is for homemade marshmallow Easter eggs. I wanted to make marshmallow Easter eggs for a long time. So I finally made them. Homemade marshmallows are easy to make, but chocolate covered marshmallow Easter eggs are difficult: it isn’t easy to form the sticky marshmallow into egg shapes.
- 110g sugar
- optional: some vanilla bean powder
- 50ml water
- 4 gelatin sheets
- melted chocolate
Soak gelatin sheets for 5 minutes in cold water. Bring sugar and water to a boil, add gelatin sheets.
Beat marshmallows for about 5 to 8 minutes until white peaks form. Form homemade marshmallows with too wet teaspoons into egg shapes. Using a fork, dip the marshmallow eggs in chocolate.
