Natural Blue Icing Recipe

Stir together powdered sugar and some hot water (don’t use lemon juice because natural food coloring is ph-sensitive). The icing should be thick but pourable. Color one part of the icing with some drops homemade natural blue food coloring made with red cabbage. Add less homemade natural blue food coloring for baby blue and more for dark blue.

  2. This is a great trick and I did try this method of colouring which worked beautifully. The nice thing about it is you can choose your shade of blue with the amount of colour you add. Yours do look much prettier than mine.
